These terms govern your use of shorepower.energy. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, stop using the site.

Who operates this site

shorepower.energy is a trading name of Marine Trade Finance SL, a Spanish limited company in the process of being incorporated. Its tax number and Commercial Registry details will be published here once registration completes. These details are published under Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce.

What this site is

shorepower.energy describes what we do, which is originating and structuring funding for the installation and the modernisation of shore power equipment, and arranging that funding through a panel of third-party funders and insurers. The site also publishes a map of shore power connections worldwide, compiled from public sources.

Nothing here is an offer of finance

The content of this site is general information about our services. It is not an offer of finance, credit, leasing, insurance or investment, it is not a recommendation, and it is not financial, legal, tax or technical advice. Nothing on it creates any obligation on us to fund anything.

We do not lend our own capital. Any funding that follows a conversation with us comes from third-party funders, and is subject to their credit approval, their appetite, full documentation and the terms they set. Descriptions of funding structures on this site show the shapes a transaction can take. They are not terms available to you, and no figures, rates or periods are offered or implied.

Regulatory summaries on this site, including the AFIR, FuelEU Maritime, CARB and China requirements described on the home page, are short plain-language summaries of complex rules that change. They are not legal advice and must not be relied on to determine your own compliance position. Read the underlying instrument, or take advice, before you act.

The shore power map

The map is compiled from public sources: port authority publications, trade press, and announcements by equipment manufacturers and shipping lines. Each entry carries the source it came from and the month we last checked that source. Entries older than eighteen months are flagged as possibly out of date.

We publish it in good faith and we check what we publish, but we give no warranty that any entry is accurate, complete or current, and we are not the operator of any facility shown. Statuses change, projects slip, and sources go stale or disappear. Do not rely on the map for an operational or commercial decision without confirming it with the port or terminal concerned.

Naming a port, terminal, manufacturer or shipping line on the map does not imply that they endorse us, that we worked on that facility or that any commercial relationship exists. Connections we were involved in are marked as such, and only those.

If an entry about your port is wrong, incomplete or should not be there, write to enquiries@shorepower.energy and we will check it against a source and correct or remove it.

Intellectual property

The text, design, logo and compiled map dataset on this site belong to Marine Trade Finance SL or are used with permission. You may read, quote and link to this site normally, with attribution. You may not copy the site wholesale, scrape or bulk-extract the map dataset, or present our material as your own.

Map background tiles are supplied by Esri (ArcGIS) and built from OpenStreetMap and other data, attributed on the map itself and used under their respective terms. Port, company and product names belong to their owners.

Links to other sites

Source links on the map and elsewhere point to material published by third parties. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for what they say or do, and a link is not an endorsement.

Availability and liability

We make no promise that the site will be available, uninterrupted or free of error, and we may change or withdraw any part of it at any time.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site or the map, including lost profit, lost opportunity or business interruption. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Acceptable use

Do not use this site unlawfully, do not attempt to break into it or disrupt it, and do not submit anything through the form that you have no right to send us. When you attach a document, you confirm you are entitled to share it with us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes arising from them are subject to the courts of Madrid, Spain, except where a mandatory rule of law gives you the right to bring proceedings somewhere else.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
